As part of the EU-funded project "More than a village", we partnered with the City of Buzet to design and develop a specialized web portal that connects local producers with buyers while supporting the growth of agrotourism in the region. The goal was to create a digital space that not only promotes local products but also provides relevant information such as weather updates and news for those involved in agriculture and rural tourism.

The project began with a detailed analysis of the needs of local producers, agrotourism providers, and potential buyers. We identified the importance of accessibility, product visibility, and timely information, which guided the structure and functionality of the portal.

A key focus was on ease of use—ensuring that producers, many of whom are not tech-savvy, could manage their profiles and product listings without difficulty. The portal was built with simplicity in mind, offering an intuitive interface for all users.

The website features a fresh and visually appealing design, optimized for all devices. Whether viewed on desktop, tablet, or smartphone, users enjoy a seamless experience. Visual elements reflect the authenticity and richness of Istrian rural life, aligning with the spirit of the "More than a village" initiative.

Beyond the marketplace, the portal includes weather forecasts, news updates, and event listings relevant to agriculture and rural tourism. These features support informed planning and promote community engagement.

This project continued our long-term cooperation with the City of Buzet. We continue to support and maintain the portal, ensuring it evolves with the needs of its users and contributes to local economic development.

The result is a reliable, fully functional, and professional web platform that strengthens the connection between rural producers and the wider market. It serves as a valuable tool for promoting sustainable tourism and local products, aligning with EU goals and supporting the local economy.
